SecureX Orchestration: Microsoft Email Target Update

SecureX Orchestration: Microsoft Email Target Update

We are constantly working to keep SecureX up-to-date and provide the best platform to automate your security operations. This past September, Cisco released some changes to SecureX Orchestration that might require action from your side (e.g. if you are using the Phishing Investigation workflow, Email Triggers, and/or the Send Email activity).

Microsoft is deprecating Basic Authentication for Exchange Online. As of Oct. 1, 2022, Microsoft has turned off Basic Authentication. This affects Email Triggers and Email Activities in SecureX Orchestration. To support Modern Authentication, Cisco has launched a new Target and Account Keys type as of Sept. 28, 2022, that will allow you to enable OAuth2.0 authentication via the recommended path from Microsoft.

Please find detailed instructions here on how to do this. Cisco recommends checking your workflows and migrating your workflows that use Email Event Triggers or Email Activities as soon as possible.
